Beef Products

All our beef is Pastured and raised WITHOUT the use of added hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. This beef is raised on grass pastures its entire life, and never subjected to a feedlot environment. Our beef is processed and packaged at a USDA facility and vacuum sealed for you to see the product you are putting into your freezer. We also dry age our quarter, half, and whole beef carcasses for a minimum of 17 days. This dry aging process helps to break down the muscle fibers which increases tenderness and palatability further than our pastured process!

You have questions, we have answers…

How do I know how much beef to buy?

We suggest people look into quarter half and whole beef for long term purchases. A rule of thumb that we use is if you eat beef regularly, a family of 4 will go through about 3/4 steer per year. We do have families that go through more than a whole steer per year, but this is all something we can workout with you.
When buying single pieces, we do have a 10 pound minimum order and local pickup only. Our ground beef normally is packaged in packs from 1.25-2 pounds. The rest of the cuts vary.

Shipping

As of right now, we do not ship our products. They are available for pickup in Geneva or Longwood with appropriate notice. Our minimum purchase is $70 to get everything ready for you to pick up. Quarter half and whole animals can be delivered with a freight charge depending on distance, just ask us!

Payment Methods

At JS2 Cattle, we proudly take cash, Zelle, and credit cards and Venmo(with convenience fee). Checks can be used to place a deposit for a quarter, half, or whole steer.

Wait Times

Sometimes there are delays in getting some of our products. Ground beef is something that we try and have available all the time. Steaks and Brisket sell out very fast normally, but we will have waiting lists if necessary. It should be helpful for you to know that nearly 50% of the beef from a cow is normally hamburger, so there is a lot more burger than all of the other cuts, and we have to sell all of it.
