**Pricing is based on live weight**

Here at JS2 Cattle Co. we aim to have our steers processed at 1200 pounds. If the animal is heavier than 1200 pounds, you will get more meat while paying a bit more, however if the animal is less than 1200 pounds you will pay for what you get. Just a reminder here, all of the beef you purchase from JS2 Cattle Co. is raised without the use of added hormones, steroids or antibiotics, and never confined to a feedlot! Your beef will come to you vacuum sealed and frozen, for pickup at the farm or delivery if available.

ORDERING INFORMATION

For each quarter steer reserved, we take a $500 non-refundable down payment and a payment plan leading up to you getting your beef. No reservations will be accepted without a down payment. We try to start the order process 4-6 months in advance of purchase to help spread the cost of the meat out, instead of one lump sum.

quarter steer | Approx. $1400
$4.67 Per pound live weight

The quarter steer will net you approximately 105 pounds of finished meat. This will include roughly 40 pounds of ground beef, 25 pounds of steaks, and 40 pounds of roasts, stew meat, brisket, and soup bones. The quarter steer is a half steer shared with another customer. As a result, we cannot promise you will get the order exactly how you want it, however we do aim to make the order as customized as possible. (When comparing to other pricing, this works out to roughly $7.11 per pound based on hanging weight.)

For a quarter animal, you will need a minimum of 4 cubic feet of freezer space.

Half Steer | Approx. $2,515
$4.19 Per pound Live Weight

The half steer will net you approximately 210 pounds of finished meat. This will include roughly 80 pounds of ground beef, 50 pounds of steaks, and 80 pounds of roasts, stew meat, brisket, and soup bones. The half steer is customizable so that you can get your steaks cut to a specific thickness and choice of bone-in or boneless. You can get your ground beef and roasts packed in your selection of packing size. (When comparing to other pricing, this works out to roughly $6.41 per pound based on hanging weight.)

For a half animal, you will need a minimum of 8 cubic feet of freezer space.

$4.13 per pound Live weight

The whole steer will net you approximately 420 pounds of finished meat. This will include roughly 170 pounds of ground beef, 100 pounds of steaks, and 150 pounds of roasts, stew meat, brisket, and soup bones. The whole steer is fully customizable so that you can get your steaks cut to a specific thickness and choice of bone-in or boneless. You can get your ground beef and roasts packed in your selection of packing size. You can also select to have organ meat cuts including tongue, heart, and liver amongst others. (When comparing to other pricing, this works out to roughly $6.31 per pound based on hanging weight.)

For a whole animal, you will need a minimum of 16 cubic feet of freezer space.
